Seriously?

I hate to TC, but if I'm not taking my tablet anywhere, am I better off just not having a cover. This is my first device where I don't have a cover and I honestly love it that way!

And your post is not even addressing the subject at hand.....the OP is stating the the shipping date of the case he ordered got moved around past when it was supposed to be shipped. He did not ask if he should get a case or not. Thanks for adding nothing to the thread on behalf of the OP. (sarcasm, not hate!)
 
They just sent me another email saying it shipped yesterday... We'll see... No tracking number they promised...

I honestly think what happen(s)(ed) is that I locked the cases in for a ridiculously low price, and then they balked at actually shipping one to me with free shipping. I think they all would have lost money in the deal...on the first two. On the third, iBlason I still got it for 6.95 with free shipping....They claim it will be here Monday, but tomorrow will tell. If it doesn't arrive by Wednesday I'll be contacting them to get a refund, contacting Amazon, and ordering an overpriced Nexus sleeve through Android Central or wherever that link takes me.

Wait, how could that be? iBlason emailed me on Friday and said it had shipped, which WAS within the specified timeframe...Could it be that they are full of it? They said my cover will be here today...We'll see.
 
This is one of the reasons I only buy from sellers that ship from Amazon directly. You are better off ordering a case from another seller, you'll probably get it faster.

I agree...The mail just got here, and, no frickin' case. I'm going to wait until tomorrow, and if there's no case, I'm ordering that Nexus sleeve.

Yes, sellers will often choose to sell products for a very brief period of time at a ridiculously low price (and usually with Prime free shipping). Yes, they will often lose money up front. I picked up a neoprene sleeve (fits like a champ!) for my new N7 for $0.99 with 2-day free shipping. Suffice it to say that just sending it in an envelope via regular mail would have cost more than that, so it wasn't a profit center for them.

There's a marketing reason for doing this though that can lead to greater long term net profit for the product. By launching it at a price that will drive very heavy initial sales and with the Prime option to bring in those who filter out non-Prime items, their product will rapidly climb to or towards the top of the category, thereby driving continuing sales due to the common perception that being one of the most popular means being one of the best / best values. That sleeve hit #1 on its category and, despite now being listed as unavailable after having sold through whatever mass stock they had at its normal price (I think they bumped it to $12.99?) it's still sitting at #6.
 
Finally got it. (i-BLASON cover) I've never seen anything on Amazon take 12 days to get to me. The case itself is quite nice, especially for $6.99. The "Bonus Stylus" is actually a ball point pen complete with ink, so it went into the trash, but the auto-wake/sleep function works nicely. If you're not in a rush, and don't mind emails telling you it's delayed, and horrible customer service when you ask when the case might ship, I recommend this case. I don't know how well it will hold up at this point, but it seems pretty good.
 

I got this case, it's not bad but the reviews weren't that great. I found this one and the ones for the original Nexus 7 were all great reviews so I ordered it...as a matter of fact it shipped the same day I ordered it. The shipment said it would take weeks to get here, so I emailed them and they said it usually takes 6-10 working days to arrive and if it was more than 10 days to let them know and they would resend it. I love the Andy on the back :D

Finally got it. (i-BLASON cover) I've never seen anything on Amazon take 12 days to get to me. The case itself is quite nice, especially for $6.99. I had problems with I-Blason and had to get Amazon to intervene after the shipping of a new Nexus 7 case was was very delayed and I had gotten no reply to emails from the vendor. They finally stated that the original case had been recalled. They refunded my payment and supposedly shipped a second case last week (which they very nicely said I could keep) but I have yet to see it and there's no way that a small package takes this long to get from Southern California to Northern California. At this point, since I got my money back, I don't care and will wait for the Moku 360 degree rotating cases to hit Amazon next week. I have one on my older Nexus 7 and it's an excellent case.

Yes, they sent me one of the "new" ones and refunded my shipping charge. I like the case, but I doubt I'll ever use them again for anything. I wasn't worth the headache, even at $6.99. They claimed to have sent me a second case too, and of course, it never arrived. The case is nice and works great though!
