I'm all in with Google. I thought maybe it's time I change the password to my account just because it has been so long.

Is there a easiest way for this? Any snakes in the grass? I read somewhere that if you have to reset your phone, which I do not, I must wait 24 hours. I only want to change password and log in with everything to the new password, just for safety / security sake

???

Nope -- no issue. I changed mine just the other day to a 70 character password :).

so you go to google online account, change password, then go to your phone and change account password there? And then you change your browser / gmail password...

That sounds about right. If you have any syncing apps (calendar, Hangouts, etc) tied to Mac/PC, you'll have to update those. Unless it's changed, the account lock out (factory reset) is more than 24 hours. It was 72 hours a few months ago-just so you're aware. You never know when the need may arise.
