Android Central Question

First off I'm relatively tech savvy and not an *****. Yes my phone is on! lol

So, I'm having an issue with my note10 plus. today for some reason my notification sound for my text messages changed. ok no problem go to Settings-->Sound and Vibrations-->Notification Sound--> Pick desired Sound.

Now all my notifications are the same sound, and I cant seem to find a way to change it. I get so frustrated not being able to find how to assign different sounds to different apps, I call Samsung for tech support. Well after far to long of a time the "Tech" tells me that there is nothing wrong with my phone and that during the last update Samsung took away this option. He proceeds to tell me that will have one notification sound for all my notifications until Samsung releases an update. He is also unsure if it will be remedied in the next update.

Anyone else experience this? I cant imagine I'm the only one!

Welcome to Android Central! Go to Settings>Apps, select an app, then Notifications. Select one of the notification categories, and see if you can assign a specific tone there. Be aware that not all apps allow the user to customize notification tones.
