Set-up help

Hi all, I just picked up my Verizon v10. I was hoping to be able to set up my phone with all my apps, music, etc before activating. You know, over wifi. But I can't seem to override the. "activate phone now" screen. If i remove the pre-installed sim card, will I be able to connect to my wifi to set up or am I just going to have to wait till I've got half a day to play with this thing?

I don't think any phones allow you to skip the setup process. May have to wait till you have time to mess with it. I'm the same way when I get a new phone. I don't download anything until I know I have a few hours to customize it lol
