Set-up interruptions (or do not disturb) which stops the notifcation light from coming on at night?

On my iphone i had a do not disturb option ehich effectively blocked incomming calls/messages.

Now on the Z3 i know you can do something similar, but I dont know how to stop the notification light from flashing when in the 'do not disturb mode' - or interruptions.

Does anyone know if this is possible?

Are you on lollipop or jelly bean?

You can turn off the notification light under settings / display in jelly bean. Hopefully lollipop gives you more control with it's do not disturb mode.

Lollipop, cant see the option do change the notification light to off in the 'interruptions' mode

Under Interruptions did you set "calls and notifications" to "Don't Interrupt"?
