Setting New Wallpaper with Nova Launcher

Whenever I set a wallpaper on my Moto X while using Nova the buttons are in a black bar and it looks like they aren't "on screen." But setting a wallpaper while on the Google Now launcher resolves this problem. It's kind of annoying to have to switch launchers just to change a wallpaper. Is anyone experiencing this and if so do you have a fix?

In Nova settings. go to Look and Feel, scroll down, and select Transparent Notification Bar.

I have transparent checked. The problem only occurs when setting a new wallpaper, otherwise the button bar is transparent.

Set your wallpaper by pressing the home screen and select wallpaper and wallpaper again and you're good to go.

Grover is right. In Nova when you set a wallpaper from the gallery or an app like Zedge that problem happens sometimes. For example, if you use Zedge the best thing to do is, first download the wallpaper and after that set it the way Grover said.
