Setting origin in Google Maps and CoPilot?

Say you want to do some route planning and want to get a route from some other location other than where you are curretly located? How do you set your origin different from your current location in the Google Maps and CoPiot apps?

In Google Maps.
When you first select the Directions icon, a box pops up with two input boxes.

Top one is defaulted to "My Location" and that is highlighted.
Just start typing the address you want to leave from.
Or tap the icon to the right of the input box and choose one of the default answers.

Bottom one is defaulted to "End Point", and you can do the same thing in this box.

Thanks that worked perfectly. In the pc browser google maps, you can drag the route to select a different road. Can this be done in the app? If so' how?

Sadly no on Google Maps.
I haven't used Co-Pilot in a while, but you could drag a route back when I tried it.
