Setting Up Email Account

I am setting up my work email on my Note. Does anyone know what the most battery efficient setting to use when setting up the frequency at which it checks? Can someone tell me what the Automatic (Push) frequency means?

Email "Push" is Instant Send/Delivery. under most circumstances it is battery efficient because unlike "Polling" the device does not constantly poll at at interval - the notification/email is "pushed" immediately from the server. Gmail and MS Exchange is an example.
