Setting up email for @outlook.com address

For what it's worth, I just tried using m.hotmail.com (rather than snt-m.hotmail.com) as the server to set it up again after flashing a new ROM and it seems to be working now

I can confirm this, when I tried the "snt-m.hotmail.com" I could send but not receive any messages... when I tried the "m.hotmail.com" it worked with no problems at all

If you haven't already done so, Microsoft has released an actual Outlook app. Although it is basically exactly the same as the Hotmail one, it gives you an easy setup for your Outlook.com email.

Anyone else started having issues?

I have had my email set up in the email app for my outlook.com account, following the instructions above, and it has worked perfectly, until a couple of days ago. Now I get the message "couldn't open connection to server".

I am connected via wireless, I can use my browser etc., but can no longer get my outlook mail.

Have tried both snt-m.hotmail.com, and just m.hotmail.com, but neither work.

Can anyone help?

edit: I am actually not getting email from the other accounts that I have set up with the email app either!

Thank you very much for the instructions on connecting to my HOTMAIL account from Android.

I've just received a Samsung Galaxy S phone as a gift this week and going through the set-up process.



I am able to SEND and RECEIVE my hotmails using the guide from theghost12 (above in this forum).

As expected, when I do things on my phone, it is reflected in the browser view.

Hi

I'm having same issues with outlook.com email address not able to connect on my new LG G2, So far all setting I have used is failing and doesn't work.

I keep getting "Setup Incomplete, cannot connect to server, Try again after checking network connection..."

Any ideas all help appreciated.
