Setting up email to work with galaxy gear

I thought it would be helpful to show new galaxy gear owners how to set up there email to come through galaxy gear,

1. When going through set up of new email on the phone when you get to the screen that says frequency select the drop down and select push. continue through the process until complete
2. Go to gear manager app select settings and select notifications and check off email.

this function does not exist on the Galaxy geAr that I own. Can you please elaborate as to where you found an email function?

This function is available on Galaxy Gear smartwatches. It's one of the primary uses of the device.

What exactly do you need to know? There are people willing to help.

It does exist. I only found out about how to activate it the other day due to the good people on this forum

I cannot find an email icon on my gear either. Any ideas?

On your phone

From the home screen:
1) Hit "Apps"
2) Then scroll and touch the "Gear Manager" app. (If you have a Note 3, it may be in a folder marked "Samsung".)
3) In the Gear Manager app, select "Settings".
4) Touch the "Notifications" tab.
5) Touch each item you want notifications for, a green check will appear to show it's selected.

That's it.

I have owned the galaxy gear for 10 days now and haven't been able to get any email or email notifications on my galaxy gear. I have the latest update. There is no setting for email in gear manager as others are speaking of on this forum. I have the galaxy note 3 as well. Please help!!

Go into Gear Manager on your phone , go down to where it says notifications and tap on where it says notifications and it will take you into the notifications menu and you can set the email notifications from there , I have just done it and it works fine .

I have Note 3 with Gear 2 (fully updated) and email doesn't work for me either.

Set to notify within Gear Manager app.

Any ideas?

I have the Galaxy Note 3 & a new gear and don't have the notifications option either... its a puzzle !

Totally agree with you here, I am also unable to set up email notifications.
Have gone through all the info mentioned but does not work.
Something is missing in the apps
Gone to notifications clicked the receive tab but nothing
done all the updates.
reset/restarted Gear S3 still nothing.

More detailed help please. Oh I am also waiting for Samsung to reply regarding this, sent message today.
