It seems like I can only set wallpaper from photos in the gallery, or the Samsung pictures.

However I have pictures in Google photo that I want to use.

Is therea way to either use a different source for pictures, or move pictures from Google photos to the gallery?

If you go into the Google Photos app and select your picture, you should see 3 vertical dots in the top right corner. Click them and choose "Use as" and you should get the option to set it as the wallpaper.

Sorry , I should have been more clear. I know that I can use the the dots and "set as wallpaper", but that is only the home screen wallpaper.
I want to set something different I Google photos for the LOCK SCREEN Wallpaper.

I ran into this last night, need to use Gallery to set the lock screen. All of your photos should be available in Gallery as well as Google Photos

Maybe they should be, but they aren't. Gallery only shows the pics I've taken with this phone.
This is my third replacement s6, I don't have that many I've taken with this phone.
I have some good ones in Google photos, but I cannot access them to set the lock screen

I've found a workaround. Go into Google photos, choose your photo and hit the share button. Share the file with Google drive, then go into the drive app and download the picture to your phone. It should now be in Gallery under "Downloads"

Dont even have to do that (share to Drive). Just hit the upper right menu and choose download. It sends the picture from Google Photos to your gallery and then you're good to go.
