Settle for Thunderbolt or wait?

The Thunderbolt is now and has always been a stellar device and anything new will not in any way shape or form make it any less of a device. It's getting Gingerbread soon and I would bet on it being one of the first handful of non Nexus phones to get ICS this winter or early spring.

That being said with Vigor only a few weeks away I would wait unless you get a superb deal on the Thunderbolt.

Got my T-Bolt used on August 26th.
I was getting it to tie me over until the Bionic was released.
I must say sense getting my TBolt I haven't even thought about the Bionic:).
I sit here now anticipating GB for the TBolt.
Although the GB release ruined my DroidX, the bugs that is.
Gave my replacement X2 to the GF when I got the TBolt.
Just couldn't get used to its screen.

Screen on the TB is awesome except for in the sunlight. The colors are so pure. I love the TB and it takes awesome pics too. And the voice and data at the same time on 3G........come on guys and gals!
This is the ONLY device on Verizon to date that allows this.........and on the Bionic it can only be done on 4G:)

I used to work for an indirect that was a Premium dealer for Verizon. I knew things coming out just like everyone else and not ahead of time. AND cannot give out information. It can change at a moment's notice. You give out information, be fearful.........you can and will lose your job. I have seen it happen.
It isn't ethical. I hope to be selling again. It is fun and things change so quickly. Never boring, always new to learn.

I will be going to verizon soon and I want a HTC made dual core LTE but I can live without LTE but I do want htc made dual core on verizon and i think I might have to settle for the Thunderbold but I want to wait and see if there will be some sort of sensation variation

Wait.

Are you certain that TB will be getting ICS? How do you know this?

On one KNOWS anything, it's all speculation based upon past track records.

HTC and Motorola have the best track records for updating their devices. My assumption that TBolt will get it and get it soon is based largely upon the original Droid Incredible from last year. It launched with Eclair, was among the first to get Froyo, and even now that the device has been replaced it is getting Gingerbread. Because of the relatively limited amount of memory the device has it is probably on the cusp of being able to handle GB but it is getting it because it is such a popular device.

TBolt is an HTC device, first LTE device on Verizon, super popular. All of these things point toward it getting GB. Could I be wrong? Obviously that is possible but I really doubt it, and if I were a betting person I would consider it a (relatively) safe bet.

Not really sure who this is directed at, but all of the info I spread around comes from this and other tech blogs, we get almost no advanced notice of anything at my particular job. What little I do receive from my rep or from people I know who work for VZW, I don't share.

ONLY new customers on the 7th fall into getting the tiered plans. All of us who had unlimited when the tier data started weren't having to make the switch.

Just for clarification: New smartphone customers, feature phone customers are not given grand-parented in to unlimited smartphone data unfortunately :(
