Hopefully someone can help, I've searched everywhere and not found a solution.

I just got a gear fit 2 in their mail from Samsung and I cannot connect to it. I've installed the gear manager app and it can't find my device. I tried updating the gear, factory reset it, charged it, and that's all I could think to do. I've also tried connecting to it using the open fit app to no avail. I can see it in my available Bluetooth devices but can't do anything with it there either.

Thanks in advance for your help!

What device are you trying to connect it to?
Just some advice, you would want to provide as much info as possible when you are asking for assistance with a connection issue like this

Sorry, I should have mentioned. I'm trying to connect it to an s7 edge.

I would be contacting samsung support at this point since you have seemed to try everything and your devices should have no issues connecting?
Do you have another BT device running while you are trying to sync the watch?

Nope, I made sure all other Bluetooth devices were off. I'll probably try that today, thought I'd try here last night.

As far as I know, Galaxies don't need that plugin.
My N7 was connected perfectly.
All that I did was install/update the Samsung Gear app, turned on my Fit 2, and boom. Done.
Of course BT has to be turned on, on your S7. Otherwise, there's nothing else to do.
I don't have any background on troubleshooting your issue, as it really shouldn't be an issue for those of us that own late model Samsung phones.
