Severe Battery Drain

Im convinced its my device. and im not finding any clear explanation to the miscellaneous portion.

Can you select Miscellaneous and see the information presented? Something is definitely happening, and not sure why that would be.

Do you have the L preview installed? If so, then there's reports of Miscellaneous causing the same type of battery drain for other users as reported here: https://code.google.com/p/android-developer-preview/issues/detail?id=189

If you are using the preview, then the issue may (should) be fixed with the official release.

Did you recently install Ad Block Plus? There are reports of sever battery drain from it.

Just to update the OP, it looks like this problem involved the preview and likely present in the latest build, as indicated in bug reports to Google. It's been marked as fixed, so the problem shouldn't be an issue once the OTA rolls out.
