SG4 Media sound slider not working. What's the fix?

I just got the SG4, I really like it, however I have been stumped by the volume slider for media. I can slide every other option, but I can not figure out how to un-mute the media option. I've been through this forum, google, and the "instruction manual". Help! I'd like to listen to my music and videos!!

I have this happen to me to whenever I put my phone into silent and then back to sound mode. Media seems to be disabled (sometimes but not always). But a simple fix for me is to hold the home button until the task bar opens, and tap on the left button (should be the circle with the pie graph icon), to get to view your RAM. What I do is free up RAM and this seems to fix my issue.

Or simply hold the power button and restart.

That worked!! Removing programs that were running from the que. Still learning more and more about this phone! Thanks!

This is the exact solution - clear the ram and your sound will work - thank you for the suggestion!
