Ok so well all probably know the important SGS5 specs. 2.5GHz quad core, 2 gb RAM, adreno 330, 16mp camera. LG G2: 2.26GHZ, 2GB RAM, adreno 330, 13mp cam... My question is, is there really a huge NOTICEABLE speed increase over the LG G2. I don't care about software as much, although i do like what LG has done with the UI even though you "hardcore vanilla users" think it is cluttered. I like the customizability. My question is that will the increase in speed be all that noticeable for day-to-day use? The S5 will obviously will be faster for 3D intensive games and show better results on benchmarks, but how noticeable is it when doing stuff in apps? Opening apps? I'm fine with last years tech, old doesn't men bad, it's not even really that old. Let me know what you all think. My phone now has a 1.2GHZ dual core, and 768mb RAM. Both phones will be faster than what i currently have. And the LG G2 is fre on my carrier, and when the S5 comes out in April, it wil at least be $100 of not 2 or 3. Thanks for the help/advice.

In everyday usage, you probably won't even notice any differences. The Snapdragon 800 CPU is still one of the most powerful mobile processors in the world, so both phones will demolish anything you throw at them. You say you don't care about the UI, which is good because I personally like the LG UI. I don't remember any slow downs with the G2, so you should be fine. The G2 also has a good community backing it up if you ever run into problems or decide to root and flash ROMs.
