Hi there

I was wondering why unknown whatsapp contacts, that I have never been in contact with, suddenly appear in my Samsung share menu when I for example is trying to share a picture?

It used to be only contacts that I have recently connected with.

Welcome to Android Central forums. This is a frustration of many Android users and has been an issue almost since the feature came out. It used to be believed that as you shared more the share app would begin to recognize who and through what app you share things with but nope. This article is older but it talks about and may offer some advice to make it more bearable. There are more articles and videos online if you really want to dig into it. YouTube is a good source for how-tos and walkthroughs. The fact that you feel it ever worked for you is interesting. Mine has always offered me apps and people I would send anything to, although it does offer me some recents that occasionally match up.

Welcome to AC!
Try in settings >advanced features>show contacts when sharing toggled on?

Download Samsung Good Lock from galaxy store and open module home up go to share manager for further tweaks

I really wondered why contacts contacts, that I have never texted or been contacted by, appeared in the suggestions. But apparently its a common issue in the share menu.

I couldn't say I don't pay attention to share menu much especially Whatsapp
