I Just came home and this was sitting on the kitchen counter. I don't know what my wife is planning to use it for but to me it looks like a big bacony welcome mat. It's a lattice, about 8 inches on each side and it is woven entirely from bacon and then cooked until it was crisp. This is a genius idea I think my wife deserves a medal. BTW the house smells like heaven.

I make these "bacon weaves" all of the time! Cook the bacon in the oven too. They are perfect in a bacon, tomato and avocado sandwiches. My mouth is watering looking at your picture!

Recipe please!

I cook the bacon weaves in the oven at around 400 degrees F. For appx. 45 minutes. Halfway through I turn them over. Your time may vary.
I mash up avocado and add a little bit of garlic powder.
I toast sourdough bread slices, spread some mayo on both slices of the toast then spread some mashed avocado then add a couple slices of tomatoes, 1 or 2 bacon weaves, more tomatoes to surround the bacon and you have a huge sandwich! I'm not a fan of lettuce in sandwiches but you can add that too. So dang good!
