Golden 10 minutes, Leith, Edinburgh. Just caught the sun set clipping the top of the spire behind the Burns monument.
Was proper dark 20 minutes later. Great orange glow for 15 minutes.

Here’s a couple of my boys. Vicious pit eating a dachshund
An unfixed pit??

I know pits can be sweet dogs and too much is made of the stereotype that they attack people/dogs. I never believed it till my condo neighbor got one and it bit and took a chunk out of my Bouvier in the public elevator. For absolutely no reason. We had to have surgery to patch up our dog.

We now steer clear of all pits. Which most people do. Apartment communities actually restrict pits too. Sad they get a bad rep.

Every year, we get a lone pine squirrel in our back yard that makes its home in our small shed. The first pine squirrel, years ago, chewed a number of holes in the shed to get in and out with its food stash, paving the way for future generations of pine squirrels. Here's the stash it's accumulated in the shed for the winter so far this year.

Every year we trap it.

We then drive it to a woods about 10 miles away from our house and let it go. We have found that 10 miles away is sufficient, but the first time we trapped a pine squirrel years ago, we let it go only about 5 miles away, but that same squirrel was back at our house by spring. We knew it was the same one because it had an easily-identifiable patch of fur missing from its tail.

I'm new to the phone. Where are the camera settings? How do I toggle flash, etc.?

Which photo settings are optimal?

Thank you!

Basic controls such as flash are at the top of the screen.

To get to the manual controls, swipe the camera screen to the left, then choose 'Pro'. I find the auto settings pretty reliable, and I'm a keen photographer and tinkerer. But setting the iso to 200 or lower and making sure the camera is steady, can improve low light shots. And adjusting exposure compensation can be useful for back-lit subjects.

You have a Note 8. You are already at optimal. ??????

If anyone has the optimal settings, please let me know. Always looking to improve.

Great to see some Autumnal colours still around until we are plunged into perpetual darkness shortly.
