Anyone else think the pro mode interface is absolutely horrendous? Switching shutter speed and ISO to manual or back to auto is nearly impossible without flipping the camera between front and back multiple times. Very poorly thought out ux from sammy.
Anyway, I am also disappointed that ISO won't go lower than 50. And the focal plane issue of this lens keeps coming back to haunt me - it's the same reason I hated the S7 camera way back when it came out. Issue is this: anytime you get close to a subject, as in not even macro, just close enough to it, the camera focuses on such a small portion of the subject that other parts of the subject are blatantly out of focus.
Save the "its depth of field" comments. I am not talking about bokeh/depth of field. I am talking about a composition at 4-5 feet distance and parts of the image are out of focus because the lens has locked on to a small portion. Irritates the hell out of me and I frankly can't wait for the V30 to come out so I can move on. A wide angle is so much nicer for photography than a gimmicky zoom lens anyway.
Juan Bagnell at Pocket now hit the nail on the head. If you want the best auto shooter, look no further than the Pixel because Google's post processing magic cannot be beat. If you want the best pro interface, stick to LG. The Sammy is neither here nor there.
End rant. Sorry!
