Share photos taken on your Note 8!

Then they don't know their trucks. lol

DEFINITELY... don't know their trucks!!! The Raptor will drive circles around my F-350... of course, when it gets stuck, I'd be there to pull it out... right? Or tow it to the Desert Races... you get my point! Two totally different beasts!

...it's usually got a big Eagle Cap 850 Truck Camper loaded in the back.

he is absolutely adorable I have a Puggle who's somewhat similar looking and kind of chunky as well

Yes however someone like Google has nailed the computational post processing so well (even Samsung to some extent) that post processing by the amateur hobbyist isn't always guaranteed to produce better results than the jpg the phone puts out (which in case on note 8 and pixel is already very good)

Some jpgs are pretty good of course, however there is always much more data to be obtained from a raw output. Jpgs are only 8 bits deep.
Amateurs (defined by photography not being their major income producing job) certainly can produce better results by post processing the raw. Maybe not the typical person who hasn’t a clue about photography and just wants to point and pop (and there is nothing wrong with that), but anyone a little more advanced than that can produce better outcomes with the raw. :)

Advantage of being tall applies to dogs too!

I'm seeing some lovely photos posted in this thread. And, it quickly reminds me that I need to check my Note 8's camera settings.

Often, I'm taking 'stock' photos of my cats, and they seem to come out awful. However, I'm coming from an iPhone 7 Plus, where there was no amendments to the camera, and photos were on point. I guess I'm just used to straight forward point and shoot; really not into fancy photos, per se'...

Maybe I'll watch some videos on camera use on the Note 8...

Do your photos of your cats come out blurry? If so, switch to pro mode and turn up the shutter speed. If you can, turn up ISO to compensate. You want the EV to be as close to zero as possible given all changes. That should help.

Strange. With these phones 90% of shots should be fine on point and shoot. The majority of users won't take it off auto and still manage mostly great pictures.

23 weeks post transplant, doing my nightly 5K. 3 Weeks into having a 6KG dumbell in my rucksack 😁.

Love the challenge of shooting into the low sun.

Did you have to drop into Pro mode for these shots? Perhaps you could give us some pointers as to how you achieved these great shots? Thanks in advance.
