It is TOTALLY AMAZING the stone work they could do that many years ago, isn't it? Wow... every time I see pictures of a Castle, I cringe to think of the sheer hours of manual labor AND Craftsmanship that went into building them! Look at the detail on the face of the stones in that last picture... damned!

Yeah. The labour and man power that would have been required is mind boggling.

Hard to say, but that last picture is one of the earliest parts. The 12th century. Crazy work for the dark ages.
