First phone they activated at the RS store this morning had a bad screen. Luckily, they had another they hooked me up with, but now I'm having problems with it, too. It's randomly launching apps (voice recorder, web, etc) whenever I set the phone down. What a drag, as this one's going back too. Reminds me of the 3 Pal Pre's I went through last year during the first week.

It did take some time setting me up at RS but after everything was said and done I left out of RS with my phone and a smile . NO HEADACHES FOR ME!!

Radio shack told me to leave and come back because there was too many people trying to access the system. And there was people just walking in with out pre ordered evo's in front of me. I asked the salesperson what was the point of having a pre order and a appointment mine was at 10am and they told me to come back. This is one reason I hate RAdio shack. And I don't even think the guys even know what the hell they are doing. If I didn't spend 50 bucks already I would not go back but now I stuck dealing with these assholes........

ARRRUGH

5:50: 1st 2 walking into the "Shack" Me and another customer (who had a appt. at 6:30)
5:55: Store Manager walking out of the back with my evo
6:15: 6:30 Appt guy's walking out with their activated Evo.
6:45: A New Single Line was added to my account (Couldn't convert to family plan due to system issues)
7:05 Walking Out of "The Shack" without my Evo, The POS System errored out while completing the sale.

So, now my 6:00am appointment has turned into a 12:30 or later... Do you think that they'll still honor the 15%.

My 10 month old and I arrived at the local Radio Shack here at 7:30 (mall location so they opened at 8am) I was the only one waiting till about 10 minutes to 8 then another showed up.

Went straight in and managed to get my upgrade in before the sprint system started lagging out.

I have nothing bad to say about the experience at Radio Shack cept the small bit of confusion surrounding the $10 survey coupon, but it was fixed very swiftly and I got to use it on an accessory.

Total time at the counter was less than 45 minutes.

I'm in love with my phone. *drool*

So i live in a small town where we dont have a local retail store. So i called yesterday to make sure that the closest sprint store had a phone and that i could come in and get one on launch. So i drove to the store this morning (about a 35 min drive) to arrive there at 6 am to make sure i would get an EVO. I was 2nd in line. When i got to the counter the sprint store proceeded to tell me that they were only allowed to sell EVOs to customers with their region's telephone number. I proceeded to explain to the lady that there wasn't a sprint store where i lived and this was the closest one to my house. She proceeded to tell me she was sorry I was out of luck and she couldn't sell one. The next closest store was 1.5 hours away and they were already sold out. So was every RS and BB. I have never been so pissed before in my entire life. Why the hell couldn't they sell me an EVO?!?!!??!!?! SUCH CRAP!!!

didn't pre-order as allotment filled up too quickly but local RadioShack took my name - they had 3 extra - called me ystrday - got there today at 8:45 am - no line - overall quick setup and out the door in 20 min

picked up 1 earlier from sprint and now waiting for my apt in the next half hour @ BB and I can tell you that the difference is NIGHT AND DAY between speed and service between the 2!!! At Sprint they let the 1st 15 Ppl in line come in and people were walking out within 5 minutes with their phones activated...5 MINUTES!!! I'm just casually observing @ BB right now and there's 1 guy here and he's been here for @ least 20 Minutes!!!!! My 2?
