A lot of Great screens! I sure do miss NOVA :'(
I am just not ready to give up LGG3 on screen missed calls/text notifications. I know there are 3rd party apps that attempt to do this, but they are unreliable, and hit or miss.

Check out ACDisplay. It's a lot like Moto Active Display. It's worked solid. Coming from Droid Maxx Active Display was one feature I missed.

What's programmed to happen when you touch the phone icon after "If found touch here to contact owner". Direct dial to an office number or something?

There are a number of options. I have it set up to allow either a phone call or a text message to a pre-assigned number. In this case, my wife's, since we don't have a home phone.

I decided to finally root my G3 so I could customize a bit further. I love the teal and dark grey color scheme on the material style Google keyboard so I incorporated that into the Google Now/Android L theme. I also found the perfect matching icons finally:
