nice pics of the Dallas skyline, what did you use to edit those? They look great. Pretty cool seeing the GS5 ad on the building (Crowne Plaza I believe) to the left of Reunion Tower. (also where is that margarita from?)

Good eye on the GS5 ad, I totally missed that!

I use Snapseed for all my editing needs, I find it to be the best app for that, bar none.

The margarita is a drink called Dilemma and it is at MiCocina, at the Shops of Legacy in Plano.

Should have known that. It just looked different from the POV in your pic. That's my wife's fav. I usually get the Limousine (the bigger version of the Mambo Taxi).

I’m somewhat of a photography enthusiast/hobbyist (not that I have any real talent for it). I watched several comparisons before buying the S5. From what I gathered it seemed that the IPhone 5S rivaled the Galaxy S5 in most of the comparisons depending on taste and circumstances, but it was so close it wasn’t enough of a factor to sway me. Plus 4K video in a usable frame rate is pretty incredible even if I’m not really equipped to make a lot of use of it.

I won’t be giving up my other cameras any time soon, but I am anxious to make use of this pretty incredible little camera in this phone when the occasions arise.
Snagged my first 4k video last Friday night at a local street party in the Film District. Somebody must have bought themselves a pretty rad old Lamborghini Miura with their shale boom money. Not a very steady video (no image stabilization I believe), but still a cool thing to catch for the first 4k video.

Not particularly artsy, but one of those things that you might not have had a camera on you to catch otherwise.....

I've been having issues in medium lighting, where the camera tells me to "hold still until the shot is completed" or something like that. it does it a LOT when I use my S5 (just got it on monday afternoon). really annoying, I have not successfully take 1 shot of my daughter while in my home. she stands still long enough to take a picture, but the phone doesn't actually snap it until 500-2000ms later (half second to 2 full seconds) and by then she is already running up to me to look at the image and I normally only get a blurry image of her head as she is passing the camera to look at the display.

anyone else see this? I have not taken any full sunlight outdoor pictures yet, so this problem happens with every shot I take, I am hoping it doesn't have the issue when I go outside, or I'll be returning to Pro Capture, which I bought to use back when the first HTC Evo 4G came out because of it's really fast software shutter speed.

You need to use sport mode or burst. Or tap to focus to take shot. Indoor lighting is not ideal. Also turn off in settings picture stablisation. This is a night mode, not ideal for moving targets.

point and shoot with hdr on:

regular shot. rainbow I made with the hose. Well _not_ quite regular. I think Google deleted the hose spray out.
