Does anyone know if there is a default square mode like on the iPhone. As I can only shoot large photos I'm losing a lot of the image when uploading to Instagram.

9M mode (Settings -> Picture Size -> 9M (1:1)). Alternately you could use an app like #Square (think that's the name), or many others to add a color strip above and below your landscape photos to make it square (or on the sides of your portrait photos).

I personally just use photogrid app and just use a single grid. It leaves you a lot of background, but at least you dont need to crop out the pic. Since the background can be white, it blends very well for IG.

Has any have any problems with trying to take close up shots, close to macro. I tried and tried, but only was able to get a non blurred photo 1 out of 929292 times. Seriously though, I cant get it to focus even though thr circle turns green. Then there is the auto focus problem.

Cottonwood seeds are pretty heavy this year. It looks like a Build a Bear store exploded at my shop.

Took this yesterday while standing in the shade. No filter. No zoom.

Here's a pinch zoom I did. I took this late at night and didn't want to remake my bed, so the afghan's a bit messy ;) .
The first shows the afghan, then I pinched without moving and got this close up.
