Share your Galaxy S5 camera photos, videos, and thoughts!

The S5 literally only takes good photos in 100% daylight with the stillest of hands ever. Google camera app improves this slightly. But it has been an extreme frustration of mine since day 1 that this camera produces a blurry picture more than half the time despite the fact that on my screen I see a clear, perfect, focused shot. I take the picture, go to the gallery and "wtf it's blurry!" I am considering trading in my phone because of this. Also the selfie camera is completely horrendous and makes people look stretched out and their skin sickly green.

Try the settings mode.. I you'll find lots more there. I I love the photos my S5 takes!! Excellent camera!!

Hi, In this cases, what i do to get decent low light pictures is to fiddle the ISO settings manually. usually i turn off HDR and set iso to 100-200 during low light. Although this is a bit the opposite way on how the ISO functions but it seems to get the job done for this camera phone.
Try these settings:
1. 100 ISO, Matrix metering, Flash On/off, HDR OFF
2. 200 ISO, Flash off. HDR OFF

S5 tends to over-kick the ISO to high notch during low light condition thus resulting in very grainy but brighter image.

Hope i helped you :)

No unfortunately this is not a filter. I don't understand why my images are so grainy.

Nice Photo of the Glasses! Takes awhile playing with the settings yet love the results of the camera!
Thanks for sharing your helpful info :)

A bit of HDR editing fun with the S5.

create a new thread about your issue as this isn't the right place to sort things out. also, if you can manage to have a screenshot that'd be nice too

If you have an att s5 and just updated to 4.4.4 it's called auto night detection now. Not sure if it's the same for sprint, tmo or the verizon variations.
