Finally rooting my M8 and did some small changes via Sense Toolbox.

Haven't S-Off yet, don't see the needed for me at the moment.

My current look after root.

Some issue I face after root:

• Write something to system/app seems not working, it went missing after phone restart.
• SD Fix not really working. I apply it seems nothing different, I still can't delete or write files via QuickPic, but do working via Root Explorer (that one without SD Fix also working).
• Unicon Xposed Module not working.
• AdAway not fully working. It work if you not restart the phone, once restart need to reapply and sometimes it stuck.

The only way xposed and all of the other tweaks you are talking about will work is with s-off and perm root. And also installing customs recovery.
