Still photos are amazing on this however when I'm taking pictures of anything moving even outdoors the autofocus issue becomes ugly.

That's not the purpose of motion photo. That's basically to make an animated GIF

I never realized that.... I use it to pick the best frame out of the motion photo & save it. At a recent family reunion someone invariably blinked at the wrong time. Motion photo allowed me to choose the shot with the least closed pairs of eyes. Which is great because I wouldn`t have the need to make animated gifs.
Nice to know, however.

You can do that as well.

My first night mode picture. Not the best and not sure why the house looks green when it's white. Taken with the S20+.

Nope. There's still some MAJOR skin smoothing, even with auto cam turned off. Samsung seems to think we all want to look like china dolls.

Turn off Bixby Screen Optimizer in the camera settings. It's on by default. Doesn't completely fix the issue, but it helps until there is a fix.

From my "just regular" s20. Night shot. Room was almost pitch black, and this picture turned out MUCH better than the same shot taken previously with my s10 using night shot (or the Gcam app). Very impressed with the camera so far overall. PS: there is a nightlight or some power brick in that room that does have a blue light on it, so the blue areas you see are actually accurate if ramped up a bit.

So how are the zoom shots on the "regular" phones? I've heard the 30X on the regular phones is like the 100x on the ultra (not very good). Any chance you could do a 1x, 5x, 10x, 30x zoom set sometime when you are out and about?

Same here. For this reason I'm thinking of returning mine and getting a s20+. I really find the zoom useful up to 30x on my Ultra but with the focus issues its just not that useful of a camera for me in most situations and especially with kids. The promised updates may help a bit but I don't see them completely fixing the focus issue as it is mostly related to hardware.
