Picked up the s20+ yesterday and agree on all points. Problem is now I have both in my possession and like them both for different reasons. The zoom of the ultra will come in handy at sporting events, concerts, and even at work if we get past the coronapocalypse. The s20+ has a better camera for close up, kids, and just most everyday use cases and the size makes it much more enjoyable to use. Probably gonna keep both *sigh*

I'm in the same boat, have both but really can't decide. Love the huge screen and the weight doesn't bother me but every time I pick the plus up I'm amazed how much slimmer and lighter it is.

I guess they are referring to some of the focusing issues, processing, or the fact that the Ultra uses a new sensor. I'm thinking until we see some software fixes it's a tuff call. Myself, I don't have any concerns with the Ultra's behaviour that concern me but I understand where people are coming from.

I wonder if the plus focuses faster, leading to what feels like faster shutter speed and less blurry pictures of always-moving kids.

If that's the case, they should have marketed the phones way differently.

S20/S20+: for moms, dads and people with friends
S20 Ultra: for rich introverts who like to take pictures of inanimate things.

Kinda-sorta kidding...but damn I wish I knew the camera on the smaller models was a refinement while the Ultra camera was an experiment.
