Shared Link From Chrome Shows Up In Hangouts Message

So the other day I sent a link from a website to my wife. This was maybe Tuesday. Every time I get a text from her and open it up through the notification bar, the link that I sent shows up in the text box to send to her again. I've cleared the cache in Hangouts, SwiftKey, and Chrome, and rebooted and I still can't get it to go away.

Anyone know of any fix for me? This is getting annoying when I have to delete that anytime I get a text from my wife. Thanks!

I even went into recovery and cleared cache. No dice. Still there. This is really annoying.

Yup I've had this to even clearing the app data didn't help. I did notice that it pops up randomly. It's always the same link been doing this for months and only for one person. I hope someone has a fix short of resetting the phone.

If it's coming through Hangouts, have you tried logging on to the PC version (through Google+) and seeing if you can clear anything there?

Man that's not good. I've done everything I can think of. And of course it's in my texts to my wife, so it's someone I talk to all the time.

If it's coming through Hangouts, have you tried logging on to the PC version (through Google+) and seeing if you can clear anything there?

Problem is that it's just via SMS, so a thread to her won't show up there.

I could be wrong, but I thought the new version of Hangouts handled both Google+ stuff and pure SMS. So, I assume those threads would be on Google+

This is still doing this. I have no clue how to stop it. This is a huge PITA.

i had this same problem a few months ago but i can't remember how i fixed it. i think what i did included -

1. uninstalled then reinstalled both apps/updates (Hangouts and Chrome).
2. cleared all defaults for Applications.

Does that delete all of your SMS conversations in Hangouts? I think I'll try it.

probably. maybe try #2 first which should not.
