Sharing mobile internet from mobilevia wire

I have seen many threads of how to do it wirelessly or the other way around but not this way so here is my question:

Can android 4.0 (ICS) share my android phone's mobile internet, with my laptop so my laptop is using my phones mobile internet, i know you can get an app and share it wirelessly by making your phone a wifi hotspot but thats not what i want i want my laptop to get wired internet from my phone and if so how do i do it, cause im 99% sure my wireless card in my laptop is knackered as proper internet at friends houses stays on on their laptops connected wirelessly but mine constantly disconnectes even when my laptop is right next to the router.
