Haha is it just me or is the polarization issue the definition of First World Problems?

I wouldn't call it a problem. More of an annoyance.

depends... in general, sounds like a FWP... however, there is a situation when i see it as an issue... if you are driving in a very bright day, you would want to wear polarized glasses, it's good for your eyes (actually, it's good for your eyes to wear them all the time you are in the sun, the ultraviolet rays are not a gimmick)... if you are using your phone as GPS and you have the panel that blocks the screen in the mode you place your device then you have a real problem...
Exactly, a FWP. If you need to look at your phone for GPS, just lift up your shades for a second. Or turn it landscape or portrait.
On another note, why did HTC use polarization in the first place?

So which screen is actually better and why? I originally had a Tianma and it was pink at the bottom and had bad viewing from an angle, but had other issues with. I now have a Sharp display that has no pink and has great angle viewing but has a small dead pixel or dust under the glass, and now that I know it's there I keep looking at it and it's driving me nuts! It is so small, but do I take the chance and exchanging and not know what I get in return?
When you say "it was pink at the bottom", what exactly do you mean? Was it pink at the bottom all the time? Or was it pink only when you looked at if from an angle?
