Just had my phone fall and crack up the screen on the top right. First time I ever did that. Still in shock lol.

Anyone know options for getting it repaired? Anyone have experience dealing with OP on this?

Ouch, that sucks! OP customer service can be reached at 858-609-6590 or they have a live chat option on their support page. Just reading through some posts int heir forums, their process seems pretty straightforward. I haven't had to work through them before.

I went ahead and did the live chat to get info on repairs. Seems ok. Doesn't sound like it'll cost as much as I feared either. We'll see what I actually get a real quote.

What sucks is I'll have to wipe my device.

Glad that things are going well as far as repairing and getting good advice; but that's too bad about needing to wipe your device! Keep us updated on what happens!

It'll ship out today so hopefully the process won't take too long. One thing I thought was odd is that they asked to put the IMEI number on the outside of the box. That's not something I'd want out in the open, is it? I just left my original order receipt in the box with that number on it, so they'll find it there.

That's great that it'll ship out today! Hmm, I find that odd, as well... Smart that you put it in the box on the receipt.

I did the same thing. Put it inside. Much safer.

Another option is to check with your credit card company. I lost my Nexus 5X one year within the first month. My credit card company gave me full refund since they have a damage and lost/theft protection within 90 days of purchase.

This. Back in 2009, Amex completely reimbursed me for an iPhone I had in my pocket when I fell out of a boat out on the lake (don't ask).

Discover reimbursed me for a screen replacement on a Pixel 1 I had when I dropped it onto hard concrete. The time frame they give you is not long though...usually like 90-120 days or so.

What a great credit card policy!

$137 all told... Parts, labor, and shipping.

It was due to get back to me Friday, but the weather here in NJ had other ideas. Hopefully Monday!

That's actually not bad considering it's being repaired by OP directly and not a third party. it could've been worse! I keep thinking if a third party protection plan would be worth getting but I think I might hold off

Yea I definitely don't mind that price, considering the big deductibles I've heard people pay for getting replacements through their carriers. My friend cracked the screen on her GS6 Active a while back and AT&T took 200 bucks to get it replaced. Granted that's a replacement, not a repair, but still.

Dealing with OP's service has been fine. Apparently they subcontract Acer in TX to handle repairs. Some of the communication has been from them, and some has been from OP (or at least someone fronting for OP}.

I would still check with your credit card company, they might reimburse you for it.

Got my 5T back today and all seems well. 18 days from the drop to getting it back, seemingly good as new. Not too bad.

Good deal. I have positive regards for the Acer center in Temple TX as far as quick fixes. This went much better than if it was a BlackBerry.
