Shield TV screen problem

Hey all
I got a 500gb shield tv last night and I love it apart from theres a problem with the graphics.It has very noticeable lines going down the screen.I was wondering if its a returns job or a settings job?Ive tried everything but still no joy.I have it connected to my receiver and then the receiver connected to the tv like I do all my devices.I also tried going directly form the shield to the tv but its still the same.Also the nvidia logo on start up looks all spectrumy and pixelated with a line flicking across the screen for a few seconds and then back to normal.I'll post a couple pics for you to see.

Have you tried using a different cable? Might be a bad connection to the display. If not, the inner connector to the Shield might be defective. I doubt this is a software issue.

Ive just tried the good 16gb from upstairs on the tv downstairs where I'm having the problem and it was exactly the same issue.Ive tried a direct connection from the shield to the tv (so the receiver had nothing to do with anything) and with a different hd lead and still the same problem.Im at a total loss.

Other than formatting the thing (no idea if it's even possible) and trying it out in a different TV with a different cable (which, it seems, you've already done), I don't see how it could be failing unless there's some display output setting that can be changed.

its got me beat.Ive looked all over the tv for output settings but nothing.Whats weird is that when the screensaver comes on it looks perfect.Unless the colours hide it.Plex looks good too.Kodi looks dodgy though just like the pics above.
