Shipping info updated thread :)

This may need a signature. Just be aware.

Google said UPS could leave the package without a signature. UPS said no to that on the website. If you create a MyUPS account you can tell it that you authorize packages to be left and click on a liability disclaimer. Otherwise the package would have been returned without a signature.

A lot of times it depends on the location. Like I live in an apartment building and even if I sign the UPS slip they leave one day and authorize them to leave it the next day - they won't. FedEx, however, will leave just about anything.

This does, however, lead to me being well-known at our local UPS facility. It's only about 2 miles from my place.

Finally orders are shipping. By the 18th everyone will be nice and happy and forget about Tue shipping and will enjoy the tablet.

I am in southern california
Ordered 16 GB Nexus 7 on Google Play on June 27

Well mine said it was to be delivered TODAY between 9 and 11am so I stayed home. Now it updated to tomorrow about 45 minutes ago. Seriously whether this whole thing is Googles fault or not, im never pre ordering anything from the Play Store again. Blah Blah Blah, its not Googles fault. I dont care whos fault it is. The fact is that people have enjoyed the tablet for a few days while Im left with a VERY bad taste in my mouth from Google.

Mine finally updated to be scheduled to deliver tomorrow. Doesn't say what time of day yet though...

I always get "end of day". UPS hates me. I rarely have anything arrive before 6 pm. Oh well, I have the day off and can hear people walking on the front porch.

Same here but I can't wait up that long. I work mids, sleep 2nd shift. If it's not here by 1-2pm then I'll be seeing it when I get up. Really sucks because it's hotter than blue blazes here and extra hot on our deck which is the entrance to our house. South sun ALL DAY so it's always like 50 degrees hotter on the deck it seems than in the back yard. I'll have to let it cool down before doing anything w/it so I'm SOL for playing w/it today it seems and tomorrow I'm running here there and everywhere all morning. So may not even get to play w/it then. I'm having it delivered to my home but on my biz address which MIGHT get me sooner delivery but being in a residential area I'm very doubtful.

Does anyone know if it's possible to refuse/return to sender while it's in transit? Some sites say you can, but I don't see the option under "Change Delivery" on myups.

At least you guys are receiving tracking numbers. I haven't got mines yet. I'm just sitting here being as patient as I can be

All I have is shipping label created and the tracking number. If I don't have it by Wednesday I'm going to lose my mind!

2 weeks to the day when I ordered July 3rd delivery July 17

My Birthday is July 20th, so it appears I will get it in time. Though, the weekend was grueling to me, as I'm sure with a lot of other people.

Updated on mine:

TLDR rant: Google did come through on their "mid-July" promise. They need to raise the bar a little bit and actually set a release date like Apple. Also, free release date delivery for pre-order customers, period. Apple does it. That's their competition. Enough said with the Apple comparison. Didn't want to do a comparison, but oh well. $15 shipping to get it 5 days later than retail. With Apple I pay $0 for shipping and get the product on release date or a day before.

Well mine updated with a delivery date of "tomorrow." But the question rolling around in my head now is whether to keep it or not............. Im glad people are getting a good one here and there. But I dont know if im willing to accept defects in the screen or the screen coming loose from the device. That wasnt on the list of specifications included in the $236 price tag for the 8gb. If I do decide to go forth, this is going back for a 16gb anyway.

Side note.... Did these roll stateside on a slow boat from China direct to Kentucky or something or does Google have a magic transporter in California which they used to beam all the N7's to Louisville?

And...updated. Delivery by end of day on 7/17. Our long national nightmare is (nearly) over.

Scheduled to deliver out of the Kentucky hub to the Northern VA area where I am tomorrow. No time yet, but they usually deliver at my house at night, which is strange because the people across from us get it in the morning...Oh well. Won't be home till the late afternoon anyways. I am pool side tomorrow
