My understanding is that UPS is headquartered out of Kentucky. So far everyone who has reported a tracking event (mine as well) have them originating there. Obviously UPS was holding them in Kentucky all along and will now air them to your closest hub.

I live almost within walking distance of the hub (they are in odd places by the way, my town does not warrant a hub) but I still get packages last. It's as if they drive the furthest distance first and work backwards towards the hub.

Who wants to bet the Nexus' were sitting there since July 9th? My label was created on the 9th and had an original delivery estimate of 7/11, which would have been perfect and JUST before the stores got them. Ah well!

Well mine updated with a delivery date of "tomorrow." But the question rolling around in my head now is whether to keep it or not............. Im glad people are getting a good one here and there. But I dont know if im willing to accept defects in the screen or the screen coming loose from the device. That wasnt on the list of specifications included in the $236 price tag for the 8gb. If I do decide to go forth, this is going back for a 16gb anyway.

Side note.... Did these roll stateside on a slow boat from China direct to Kentucky or something or does Google have a magic transporter in California which they used to beam all the N7's to Louisville?

And so you worry about it now trying to decide? Because someone said that someone said that someone said? Take a breath. When you get it, open the box. Peel off the plastic. Power it up. Try it out.

Then decide. Until then, don't lose any sleep over it.

There are far more people raving about the Nexus 7 than are ranting about it.

I've got my device on the weekend. And I love it. But I'm not going to easily forget what a clusterf**k this launch has been.

And I'll think twice about ordering from the Play store, knowing that Google might actually charge more to Play customers than their retail partners will charge.

Mine just arrived to Los Angeles from Louisville. It's still scheduled for delivery tomorrow, though I do live near Los Angeles (about a half hour away) so I can't see why they couldn't just deliver it today. Wishful thinking, I guess.

However, I signed up for an UPS account, received an email this morning from UPS w/ a tracking #. The label was created 07/11, shipped today and just arrived in Columbus, OH. I should have it by 3:15 tomorrow.

Still trying to get a handle on why some people haven't received any tracking info or been billed. My standard question, did you order accessories like the OEM case with your Nexus 7?

A lot of people that did are not getting anything yet. As I've stated, a presumption that the case is not ready/available is delaying shipment because they need it to complete the order.
