Shipping Not Free On New Pre-Orders?

I just went and added one to my cart and went to the checkout step, there was never any option to change the shipping? I don't remember seeing an option on my original purchase either. Maybe it depends on your location?

Same here. In fact, when I first started the checkout, my delivery date was the next day, but noticed it was my old address. Once I put in my new address, delivery was a few days later. In both cases, never saw an option for shipping, it was always expedited. I assume my date changed because my old house was near a large city with Google near by, and my new house is not near either of those. Though it's possible I lost some places in the delay though.

Something weird going on, last night I had 3 shipping options, this morning from my work PC, only showing free standard shipping.

It probably depends on a number of factors, some of which are changing constantly. Time of day you order (cut offs maybe?), expected stock level / backlog shift, location etc...

I live in CT and when I placed my order I didn't get the option

Standard shipping is always free. If you want it faster you pay extra.
