Shipping notification....Who's first?

Did you really have nothing better to do than to mash F5 the morning of the 7th on the preorder page?

lol... went there when I got in the office. only f5ed a couple of times, then the pictures disappeared, then I clicked and it let me order.. I would have hit F5 a bunch more times.. but I didn't have to..

He's signed up for UPS's email notification. You can sign up and if a package is coming to your house in your name they will email you. I signed up for the same thing this morning but haven't got an email yet. I ordered mine just a minute or two after they started taking pre orders

He's signed up with UPS MyChoice, so he gets an email from UPS whenever a package is set to be delivered to his address through UPS, or a UPS partner program.

Damn it, I only have day of delivery notifications enabled on MyChoice. I knew I should have enabled day before notifications. Ugh.

I signed up for UPS My Choice which sends you tracking info whenever a new shipment is put into UPS's system with your name and address as the final destination... I just signed up this morning after seeing another post mentioning it. (I think earlier in this thread).. It also sent me tracking information for an HP folio 13 which I bought my wife for mothers day... It's all legit, I have no reason make anything up...

Damn! I can't do this because I had it shipped to my office so I could get it quicker.

I highly doubt that it has that much to do with his order time. I don't think good 'ole Joe and Darla are sitting there with a list saying, "Tom was first, let's scan his information. Bob was second...".

It may be broken down by which day, or the first 1,000 people or something like that, but it is done all electronically, so I am sure there will be batches going out.

Unless, and I don't even want to think about this, in order to meet their goal of doing their best to get them to us early, they picked his name out of a hat (or perhaps he literally was the first one) and all the rest of ours will ship on Friday.

I changed them, but don't know if I'll get a notification if it has already shipped.

Yes, I had another item coming to my house fro Best Buy which shipped out yesterday, and when I signed up this morning, it sent me the notification (even though it was already an existing shipment)... Probably an hour or 2 later..
