Shipping time at Essential.com

Guys,

While Essential.com shipping policy states that they ship within 1 business day and deliver within 2-3 business days, it seems like with the recent surge in orders they are delayed quite a bit.

I placed an order for a white phone on 10/28 and it still hasn't shipped. I emailed their customer care and received a response within few hours (they always respond within few hours and haven't ignored my emails so far, which is great):

"We have checked the status of your order and confirm that it will be shipped soon and should be received within the next 7-10 business days.

You will be receiving an email shortly with your shipping tracking number. We have been working diligently to process all orders as quickly as possible."

I can't really say if they have no stock left for the white phone and are waiting for new units to arrive or if they really got so many orders that their shipping department is still processing them.

Is there anyone who received their phone this week or has a phone in transit, which they ordered on Essential.com later last week?

My F&F order is still listed as processing. I'm sure the surge of orders with both the price drop and F&F codes overwhelmed them.

I ordered another black. I have black and white now and my current black one will get returned. A friend is interested in my white phone so eventually it will go away.

I'm saving an F&F code in hopes that they release Stellar Grey before the code expires on 15 Dec. The pessimist in me says we won't see new colors until after then. lol

I don't they may be working super hard to get out the new colors before holiday season is over. New colors are one way to spike up interest so wouldn't be surprised if we see the new colors before Dec 15.

Hopefully that's the case. I always try to keep my expectations low. It saves on disappointment.

Nice!!! Haven't received mine yet. Looks like they started shipping them out. Though mine is white so not sure what's the status on that.

I just received the shipping notification for my white phone. It is in transit from Shenzhen China, scheduled to be delivered on Monday.

For as many of these as I've ordered by now, I still get exited when the FedEx truck shows up.

It's advantage ordering from Amazon since they have better customer service and faster shipping if you have prime. Only think for most states I think Essential is not charging sales tax so you will save money there. If that's not the case in your state and you don't have the Friends/family code I would choose Amazon over essential.

I don't know if Amazon will charge any restocking fees in case of a return, but Essential.com has a fee of $35 and so is Best Buy.

It's not going to be slow, plus Essential is diligently working to make it better with every update. Even if it's a few milliseconds slower, $500 is still $500.

Returned my current black to Best Buy this morning. The guy at the counter must have been half asleep as he gave me all of my money back with no restocking fee and didn't ask for ID.

Checked out the Pixel 2 XL in black while there. It's nice but not worth over $700 more (in my case) than my PH-1. The grippy texture was great and display was decent but didn't have that "wow" factor I was expecting for the price. Bezels seemed gigantic. Speed and responsiveness seemed the same but I couldn't install any of my apps to compare fairly.

I'm back on my white phone until Monday when the F&F black arrives.

I had the Pixel 2 XL and now I have the Essential. It's not slower. It's just as snappy and smooth. Well except for the Camera. It's still a little on the slow side to process photo's but outside of that I really REALLY like the Essential phone better. It's not perfect but neither was the Pixel 2 XL which was twice as expensive...
