Shorcut to "Turn on/off Mobile Data" from Notification Panel vs. Settings

I am in Canada and use Wind Mobile. oh well maybe in future updates itll be available. So much easier with the toggle (when I had my S3) vs going through the settings menu and always clicking ok when it asks to confirm if you want to switch off data. Saves so many steps

Thanks for all your help!

Why do you need to turn mobile data off and on all the time? Mine stays on 24/7 365 days a year.

When I am not around wifi I only turn it on for when I need it. Saves a lot of battery as data takes up a lot of juice.

You can set up Tasker to have mobile data turn off at home, and turn on when you leave

If data switcher isn't working then Tasker might not either. Maybe the network you're on needs your data to be on all the time for some reason. Maybe it's the NSA

Apparently it seems to be on models from AT&T Note 5 not showing the data in the notification.

A workaround that I got and have been using, was to add a widget "Usage Manager" which comes with the phone hence no need for installations. Simply go to Widgets and search "Usage Manager" to put it on your screen.

and by clicking on the "active apps" it will show me the connections hence enabling / disabling the data can be easily managed from there.

Hope this one works for the ones suffering from that missing Data on/off button.

I had the same problem with my old toggle on Tmobile/Note 4. I tried several toggle apps and finally found one in the play store that works - kind of. It's called Power Toggles. It doesn't switch the data like before, but it does take you straight to the data settings page where you can uncheck data.

I have Note 5 on T-Mobile and there's no data switch in the notifications area. I'm using GO Launcher right now and they do have a data switch in their notifications panel.

It's available for me on 5.1.1 on Verizon.

Must be a carrier-specific item. Any other T-Mobile users who don't have the data switch?

After having my Note 5 for only a few days I realized something strange. Whenever I was on a call using my BT headset I could not turn mobile data on. Once the call was over and I hung up, then I could turn the mobile data on. I tried various fixes, including resetting the phone, but nothing changed. I spoke with T-Mobile at length about this issue and they could not figure it out, either.

When I had the Galaxy S3 with Boost, I never had this problem. Thankfully I am on T-Mobile's test drive so I am returning the phone and going back to Boost.
