Hi,I just got information that my huawei p30 lite eas short curcuited because of a faulty fingerprint reader and it erased all data. Is it possible? The phone was acting out for a week, switching off and couldn't switch back on. When it did all was ok and suddenly it would switch off again. And then it just died. I really care about the data stored on it so if anyone can give me some hope or direction I'll be super happy!

Welcome to Android Central! It's not common, but if there's a catastrophic failure of some sort, a phone might do a factory reset on its own.

You didn't backup or sync any of your important data to the cloud or somewhere else secure? When the phone started acting up, that would've been a good time to start considering that, if you weren't doing so already. If you didn't backup or sync your important data anywhere, and the phone did a factory reset, then that data is gone, I'm afraid.
