Should I be worried I can't pull the battery on the Moto Z?

I have had Samsung and HTC android phones for many years. On all of them I had to pull the battery out to fix them at several points during a year. So, I am looking at buying a Moto Z Play. But I am worried that if it locks up I cannot just pull the battery out.

Should I be worried? Is this phone 'Perfect'? Is it unimaginable that the battery will ever need to be pulled out for a minute??

They have created a standard key combo to reboot the device if it locks up. It's been built into android since 4.4. All you have to do is hold vol+ and power for about 8 seconds.
