I have the unlocked V20 and it doesn't have FM radio... possibly due to FCC regulations or licensing or something.. Want to get the T-Mobile version. Do you think it's a good idea to get it? Plus the fear of not being able to find a new V20 after it's discontinued..

I have one I'm selling. I know we're not supposed to advertise on here though.

You should be fine have just one working model. No need to have two of the same phone IMO.

So t-mobile version has fm radio? I have AT&T version. What about factory unlocked version?

There shouldn't be an issue finding a brand new one.
I have an unlocked AT&T V20 with fm but no second Sim.

I'd love to have an extra phone on T Mobile (I'm on VZW) to try it out and of course have another phone but it's such a rip off to have just one line. All the deals go to families of 4.

I think I would do an iPhone X though just for something totally different.

I'd buy a brand new in the box waranteed V20 in a second but not for more than $300

I'd like to find an att or unlocked v20 (one that has band 12 and 17) for cricket. Seems there are so many different variants out there its hard to pick the correct one

I love my V20 but..... I wouldn't bother. I'm a huge fan of used smart phones. My last 4 phones have been used. Bought my current V20 on Swappa for a steal, and it was in mint condition. My point is - I think you'll be able to find mint, used V20's in the next year easily.

Now, if you want to worry about something.... batteries in a year or so. But I know you're cycling through 5 ;) Still, I AM concerned that I won't be able to find a good, legitimate battery in a year. A "new" battery that has been sitting around for 1+ years is garbage IMHO.

Not necessarily.

Buy it now and store it with 50% charge. Every couple of months put it in the phone, see where it is, charge it to 50% and put it back in the box.

Yes, it will be down a bit -- like 1-2% -- in a year or two. Big deal. You won't even notice it.

Put AccuBattery on your phone. Set it to alert at 80% charge. Pull the phone off charge at 80%. Your battery will last 2-3x as long as normal this way, as it will only take about 0.2 cycles of damage being charged to 80% instead of full.

A good battery now, treating it this way, and one replacement and you'll make it to five years easily. If that's not good enough to the point you'll want something else for the expanded bands that carriers have opened up in the interium THEN start worrying.

I've been debating on trying to pick up a backup NEW V20 to replace my current V20 if it craps out since removable batteries are thing of the past its looking like.

Also on that note anyone have some good ideas besides Ebay on where to buy a new t-mobile V20 I have been striking out.

eBay is good. Just make sure the seller is selling it as "NEW" not "NEW - OTHER". When the box arrives, make sure it is factory sealed and then check the IMEI. eBay is very good with returns, if you're not happy, it can be taken back

Either select the unlocked version or AT&T (since AT&T owns Cricket, it should work fine). Or an unlocked T-Mobile version should be fine too. You have choices. I bought the US unlocked version on B&H Photo Video.

I haven't heard great reviews on the iPhone X. Seen the camera.. sure it looks amazing but too much HDR effects.. looks so fake. Ergonomics look very bad.. Looks very difficult to hold and handle. Plus after that OS update that slowed down the older phones.. IDK you should think twice..

Keep battery temps low and you should be fine. Wireless charging killed by Galaxy S6 Active.. not a good idea.. excessive heat will kill the battery.. Since my V20 batteries charges externally and slower, temps are low and I haven't noticed any drop in performance.

So yours doesn't have it? Yes, T-Mobile should have it. T-Mobile is the least restrictive carrier out of all, no branding logo etched on phones.

Maybe not now, but later down the road yeah. You seriously can't find a brand new Note 4 and I bet you people are still trying to find it.. especially after Samsung killed it with an OS update that caused MMC chip error. If it was claimed as new, it's probably not, just refurbished.
