I had a bad fall while I was exercising, do you think the nexus needs a case?

How did you drop it, was it damaged ? I am still with you on the whole getting a case or not.

I've dropped mine several times on asphalt and you can barley even notice. One of the times it bounced a few times. I've found this phone to be extremely durable. Lord knows if I had an iPhone it would of cracked the screen.

I bought a case for mine, although I've only dropped it once. You can never be too careful. I find the Nexus S to be too light.. which isn't really a bad thing, but the case does add a nice little bit of weight and now it feels normal-ish. Plus, it prevents the actual phone case from being scratched, should you ever want to sell it in good condition. Screen protector too!

Well I just ordered this case...If I dont like it, Eh.

I put an E-grip pad on the back, makes it sticky to my palm and surfaces, no drops yet and looks cool.

I did not want a case, looked high and low, and put this one on - Incipio Feather Case - either on site or Ebay - it says Nexus S but fits perfectly. I have teal (not a bright obnoxious color which helps me
differeniate mine from all the other Samsung's in our family when laying on counter) and black on my
daughters'.
It has just enough grip to get rid of the slipperiness. I really can't tell its on there, its so light weight.
Top is open, but covers the corners.
Now its protected, and no bulk - perfect - would highly recommend.

+1 on the Feather. Strange thing, though...I noticed a crack on one edge the other day. To keep it from spreading, I decided to pull off the small chunk - about 4 or 5 mm long. It's barely noticeable and it doesn't affect the ability of the case to hold onto the phone...just a little disappointed. I ordered another for about $15 in case this one gets further damage down the road.

Where are you guys getting Feather cases for $15?

+2 for the incipio feather case, and add a skinomi screen protector and you're good to go. The only things I don't like about the feather case is it's quite difficult to get off and the power button is a tad off center, but the case is super thin and adds some grip.

The form factor of the Nexus is so sleek and cool and I didn't want to screw that up with a tank of a case. The feather case didn't do that.

BTW...I paid $21 for mine on Amazon, but it took a month to get.
