Should I buy Google Nexus 6P even though it seems to have a few issues?

Hi,
I want to buy Huawei Google Nexus 6P. However, I have recently read a lot of negative comments about Nexus 6P regarding its bluetooth & wifi connectivity issues, acute battery drain issues, microphone issues during phone calls, etc. These issues have mostly arisen after updating from Android 6.0 Marshmallow version. Can you all please advice me if I should still buy Nexus 6P?
Thank you all for your time in advance :)

I have had no issues with this phone. It is definitely worth the money.

I just sold my 6P after nearly one full year of use; I purchased the new Google Pixel XL in its place.

I will state unequivocally, the 6P is a great phone. I never had Wi-Fi issues of any kind and was connected 90% of the day to various access points at home and at work. As for Bluetooth, I use my JayBird X2 earbuds at the gym 5 mornings a week for 90 minutes each day, plus I used it in my car (VW eGolf) for music, telephone, and map/directions and, again, no trouble at all.

As for microphone issues, these seem to apply only to people who hold the phone in a manner that blocks the 3rd microphone located on the back of the phone. As for me, I never had any problems with it.

I'm wondering the same thing. I used to have a 6p and ended up selling it for the S7E for the smaller form factor. I never warmed to the S7E and now I am considering selling it and going back to the 6p. However; reading about these battery issues on 7.0 has me seriously worried that I'm stepping into a mess. I've also tried a Pixel XL - it's absolutely awesome, but I've returned it because I felt like I was getting trolled by Google, paying that much for a phone that obviously was rushed to market without features that it needs to justify the price.

Hopefully I'm not speaking too soon but I had the microphone issues and people were complaining that they couldn't hear me. Last week there was an update to the "Phone" app and people seem to be hearing me fine now... I'm keeping my fingers crossed that those issues are gone because I was considering having the phone replaced.

Buy it. Great phone. Whenever anything is mass produced you're going to get some bad units, that's the name of the game. I've had my phone since March and haven't had any issues. Great device overall.

I`ve had 2 6P`s and have had no problems whatsoever...it a really great phone. It`s so good that I managed to persuade my wife to leave ios (iphone 5s) and get one. After sorting out a few issues ie moving photos to Google and itunes to Google play I asked her to give a score out of 10 for the 6P.She gave 11/10..nuff said.
(PS ..I came from a Galaxy S6 to the 6P )

The thing is that most people don't post on forums when there's no issues. I had mine for about a year and it's been pretty stellar.

Driving the 6P on Nougat. No issues so far, except for two hangups (probably some app that's not entirely compatible to Nougat).

Bluetooth has never been an issue and I use it daily in my car (Lancia Blue&Me).
WiFi has never been an issue and I us it at home and at work.
Battery can be an issue if you install the wrong apps. There's a thread around here somewhere with a list of apps known to suck your accus empty.

If you don't want to spend the additional money for a Pixel, then the 6P is the device to go for.

I generally love my 6P, but saying there are no issues with it is absurd. Just read the many, many threads on the widely experienced issues. I can't get my Bluetooth to connect properly on multiple cars and devices, and have tried everything including a full factory reset. I may need to sell it and get something else if the 7.1.1 update doesn't fix it. Oh, and unresponsive, terrible support from Google. Other than that (and a very mediocre battery), I really like the phone.

We'll, there is a difference between a phone where no users will see issues.. of which none exist... And a phone that's relatively issue free for a lot of its users.

I'm in the latter. Doesn't crash, apps don't force close, pictures come out great, battery performs really well.. it's been the best phone I've owned.

But I also don't make the mistake of assuming my experience matches everyone else's. There are plenty of people that come here to find answers, and, like every other phone here, skews things to make it seem like everyone's phone is a nightmare.

Are you 100% guaranteed to get a perfect experience if you buy a 6P? Nope. But you'll be hard pressed to get a phone that'll give you a better chance.

Exactly.

Fair enough, and I don't disagree that its generally a great phone. Just pointing out that some of the praise is a little over the top when people say its perfect or that the phone "has no issues", as one poster wrote. Its a piece of technology and therefore by definition, there will be complications for some people. And my BT issue is not an isolated case (it is very widespread), as you can read on many forums. Generally a very good phone - just not perfect. But I agree nothing is.

I think buying a Nexus 6P at this point in time is still a good purchasing decision, regardless of how long the phone has been out.

I'm going to go against the 6p train and say no and get the Pixel I gotta a bad feeling that phone won't age well with updates.

Call it an educated guess after seeing certain android phones over the years hit dirt after 14 months on retail shelves.

Nougat battery life has made it basically useless. Went from 3+ hrs sot to 1-1.5. my pixel xl is rocking 5 hours at almost 59% brightness (which is pretty bright).

After Android N
-battery life took a hit. Struggle to hit 3 hours SOT even after a factory reset
-no wifi issues
-Bluetooth issues was improved but buggy. Sometimes nothing would connect so I had to restart my phone. Restarting BT didn't help. But once connected, no issues. Before, I had trouble connecting.
-device was very fluid and smooth besides those issues.

I've had mine for a couple to three months now and I even ran the 7.1 beta for a while too. I'm back to 7.0 but as far as issues, I haven't had any really at all. I think the 6p personally is probably one of the best overall devices on the market in reflection of its retail selling price. In fact I haven't seen or owned another device that was flagship specs for $399. I think you will not regret it in the least. You save at least $300 compared to all other flagships, and the 6p can compete with all of them any day. After I had an opportunity to mess with the phone I knew then it was a device I would use and like big time. I don't plan on getting mine go and I go through tons of phones just bc I like trying different devices. The 6p has made me stop and enjoy for a while. Smooth software interface. If it took a hit at all it maybe it's size as 5.7 is rather large. Thats why I keep two phones. One larger 6p and one a 5 inch which is a Sony Xperia X. I like at least to have a phone I can throw in my pocket and not be too large. If the size doesn't bother you, hsnds down get the 6p while they are still available. It's one of the best phones I've ever tried or owned and I've been through a lot of them over the past year plus.
