Should I dump the Note 9 for the S10 plus?

If you are a sucker who doesnt care about mindlessly wasting money then sure get the S10.

People like that are the reason why manufacturers get away with increased pricing every year.
They know there are addicts out there who feel like they have to have the newest latest and greatest at any cost.

How about asking yourself "Does the Note 9 not do something I need it to?"

It was discussed on tech groups and pages prior to the note 9 being unveiled. Something to the effect of, that it may be the last note series and that Samsung will be focusing primarily on their S series moving forward.

A quick google search seems to suggest it's a pretty weak rumor, as you get a lot more results for rumors about what's to be expected in the Note 10.

Well I hope so, as I'm a Note fan myself. A ceramic white note 10 or X would be nice.

I'll still wait for the note 10. If there is no note 10, the S10 plus will have promos by then. I'm not even sure I'll give the note 9 up anyway, I have the 512/8 version and the note 9 is working just fine. These phones are getting to expensive.

That's what I think too. I think in a couple months we will know by then if there is a Note 10. Case makers will also start getting the chasis to design their cases and usually that is the first leak of what it looks like. By May we will know if there is a Note 10. If not then unload on a cheaper s10 plus.

Oh ok. That old rumor. I remember that. Seems to have been put to rest at this point. At least I hope so.

Lol that rumor comes around every year since the note 7 issues. Every year since it's been...no note8....no note9...no note10....next no note11. Not putting down poster that brung it up. Just saying this rumor comes every year lol. Personally i think if they did quit with the note series they need to at least make it to the 10 and go out with a bang lol.

Same bang we had with the 7 ?

The Galaxy X looks nice BUT even folded up the thing looks HUGE and way too thick even without a case on it.

As a person who just came back from not having a Note (5) to the Note 9 I can firmly say that you will be sorry if you switch.

I've had HTC, LG, and the Nexus 6 and none of them have the feel that the Notes have.... Sure all of them were great phones in their own way but there was always something missing.

Now you can say that the spen is the deciding factor, but you would be wrong because the Notes have always been a package and have excelled in most all things so the spen is important it's not the only thing they have going on.

I used to have the need for a new phone every 6 months or so, but come to realize that was foolish and wasteful on my part, so now I look for a replacement phone that will give me the best for a year or more.

Stay with the Notes and don't buy into a substitute that isn't a complete package, you'll be glad you did.

I agree. I was glad I didn't blow money on the s9 plus and stuck with the Note 8 until the Note 9 came out. As I said I would only buy the s10 plus IF there is not a Note 10 then I will buy the S10. We will likely know in the next couple months if there is a Note 10.

I'm not really seeing anything that's really a decent upgrade with the S10 series. Seems like a small upgrade to me. Not anywhere near the money.

Exactly why I'm keeping my note 9 and probably buying a one plus this year to play with. No more 1200$ phones.

Especially from S9 or N9. We're at a time where upgrading is more logical every other year. Unless you're just a tech junkie and have means and money.

Well said.

I'm betting sales would go down if there wasn't interest free financing, people had to actually cough the cash up front. Most are just juggling lines around for upgrades.

I've always paid full retail for all my phones except this latest Midnight Black 512GB Note 9 that I still owe $1,100. on.
This is why I'm holding off on ordering the S10 Plus, $1,100. plus $1,599 is just way too much money.

I'm sick of doing the "Reach Around" for the fingerprint scanner on the Note. This is my main reason for getting the S10 plus.
