Bought the 16 gb phone since it was cheaper and I had 16 gig iphones in the past. I updated to 5.1.1 and downloaded all the apps I use. I have about 7.49 gb left. Will future updates use alot of that? I think that's what my iPhone memory usually stayed around.

You should be ok... as long as you are not planning on loading a lot of music or keeping a lot of photo's on your phone. Most of this depends on what you do with your device, but given what you said in this post you should be ok.

FYI: It's not always good to compare the iPhone against any Android phone.

Thanks. I don't plan on adding much of anything to it. I just wasn't sure if updating the apps and the next android M update would eat alot of that memory or not.

App updates are usually fairly small... and right now we really don't know too much about M, but luckily you have a very vanilla operating system and not the large bloat of Samsung or HTC.
