Should I get a Galaxy S4 now for ~$62?

I can replace my broken Nokia Lumia 920 with a Galaxy S4 (or Moto X 1st gen) through Asurion insurance for ~$62. Should I go for the S4 (or Moto X) now or just buy a new phone? I'm interested in the Nexus 6, but if the S4 (or Moto X) will be able to give me most of the functionality at a far cheaper price, I would be down for that.

In other words, is the S4 performance still solid in late 2014?

I just bought a GS4 used from Swappa, but the only reason I did it was because the bootloader is unlocked and I can use it on any carrier. Honestly, I would never run this phone without a custom ROM since touchwiz is laggy! I wouldn't go for the Moto X, since the battery life sucks on it and the processor is dated. Nexus is too big for me in many ways, which is price and shape! I would try an S4 at the store, which I'm assuming that they still have them on display, so that you can judge for yourself. Good luck.
