Yeah, I would say if limited storage and sealed battery are not big deals to you, then hands down go for the Nexus 4. The benefit of direct Google software support seems tremendous, and based on current Nexus trends I think it will be a lot of phone for a very good price (unsubsidized).
Or if you are crazy about the oversized screen and/or stylus input or need removable storage or removable battery, and you are OK with Touchwiz and average software support (or if you are willing to bet on good custom ROM support), go for the Note. But bear in mind that if you are not eligible for a subsidized upgrade it is a pretty pricey phone.
